Improving Health and Wellbeing for People in Local Communities
A call for people with experience of community-based projects to improve health and/or wellbeing. Deadline for interest 31 July 2025.
We are committed to involving patients, carers and all people who use health and social care services in our activities.
“Public involvement in research is research ‘with’ or ‘by’ members of the public rather than ‘to’, ‘about’ or ‘for’ them.”
We work in partnership with members of the public from our local communities in our projects, our research themes, and on our central committees. Regular opportunities to be involved are available.
The Strategy is underpinned by the key principles of Co-Production.
Our Strategy includes the following sections:
The Strategy will be reviewed Annually by a Strategy Group to ensure that ARC WM achieves its strategic aims.
NIHR ARC WM host monthly online PPI sessions for those interested in learning more about PPI in health and social care research. These one-hour sessions allow for informal discussions amongst like-minded people, and feature a 20 minute overview of a PPI-related written piece, and a 40 minute broad discussion of reflections among attendees.
Further talks are planned for later in 2025 and will be announced in due course.
If you would like to receive calendar invites for forthcoming PPI Lunchtime talks, please fill in this short form.
