Patients and the Public

We are committed to involving patients, carers and all people who use health and social care services in our activities.

“Public involvement in research is research ‘with’ or ‘by’ members of the public rather than ‘to’, ‘about’ or ‘for’ them.”

We work in partnership with members of the public from our local communities in our projects, our research themes, and on our central committees. Regular opportunities to be involved are available.

Public Involvement & Engagement Strategy

NIHR ARC WM has worked with a core group of public contributors and the wider ARC WM Community to develop its Public Involvement and Engagement Strategy, which is available online.

The Strategy is underpinned by the key principles of Co-Production.

Our Strategy includes the following sections:

  • Vision Statement
  • Strategic Aims with key objectives
  • Delivery plan with key milestones
  • Strategy Logic Model

The Strategy will be reviewed Annually by a Strategy Group to ensure that ARC WM achieves its strategic aims.
