Hello, I am Sarah Markam, and I am a Visiting Researcher at the IoPPN (Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience), King’s College London. Diagnosed with anxiety and a depressive disorder since my late teens and a survivor of a serious suicide attempt in 2007, I use my experience of mental illness to inform my service user involvement roles in healthcare and related research with the over-arching aim of improving health outcomes for all.
When I am not working, I enjoy running and watching cute cat videos on YouTube.
